MCP connections
Audience: Tenant admin
Goal: Connect Edge Agents to remote MCP tool servers.
Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers extend agent capabilities with approved external tools (APIs, search, ticketing, and more).
Manage connections
- Open Integrations → MCP connections (
/agents/mcp-connections).

Figure: Create and assign MCP servers to agents.
- Click Create connection.
- Enter name, transport (SSE or Streamable HTTP), endpoint URL, and authentication.
- Assign the connection to an Edge Agent.
- Enable discovered tools selectively per connection.
Deep links
Append ?connectionId=<id> to open a specific connection for editing.
Tips
- Pilot MCP tools in a non-production tenant first.
- Disable unused tools to reduce planner surface area.
- Coordinate with security on outbound URLs from the Edge Agent network.
Troubleshooting
